In Wonder, I Stand
Void of fiction’s folly,
I choose to stand in truth,
at the foot of Kang Rimpoche, Precious One
of Glacial Snow, Mount Kailash.
I become the Buddhist sage Milarepa,
defeating the Bon shamen,
Naro Bonpchung, solidifying
Tibetan Buddhism.
Often, I find myself dancing
between the two worlds,
in one I am Milarepa,
the eleventh century Siddha,
in the other, I am just a man
now in the twenty first century.
In wonder, I stand.
