The Glass Half

       The Glass Half 

No longer do I see the glass 

as half-empty or half-full. 

The lens through which 

I perceive has shifted 

from one or two,

to possessing sight 

beyond seeing. 

Each glass shimmers, 

sparks of stain glass 

colors refracting, 

revealing new depths 

of layers beyond either 

full or empty. 

Spend precious time 

with your own glass 

half until you too 

discover your sight 

seeing anew, patterns 

and rich layers revealed 

far beyond full or empty.
