To Burst

To Burst

To burst open,

your own internal

dam, to break free

from all barriers—

both real and imagined—

you are required to do

absolutely nothing.

Therein lies the rub.

For nothing requires

something of significant

effort, to stop and drop

everything that is outer

noise.

This effort, in no time at all,

will become quite effortless,

as you sit in still silence

until the sound of the dam

bursting, is only

a faint memory,

and you are set free.
